AHEAD is aimed at all teams of researchers who want to open up their projects to commercialisation and extend their business-related capabilities and/or expand their team. The programme is open-use and thus suitable for both licensing and spin-off projects. The only prerequisite is that the team is motivated about technology transfer.
The AHEAD programme is run by Fraunhofer Venture . As an exclusive partner of AHEAD we will offer our DLR teams to participate at the programme. DLR teams can apply by contacting Technology Marketing.
The programme starts with a four-day ‘boot camp’ in Munich with a focus on the topics of team, market and product, as well as the creation of an individual roadmap for the flexible six-month phase 1 of AHEAD. In addition, at the very outset the team is mentored by an experienced in-house DLR technology transfer advisor, who provides them with close support throughout the entire programme. It is also possible to bring experienced entrepreneurs on board or form completely external start-up teams. Next bootcamp will take place from 11 to 14 May 2020.
Phase 2 of AHEAD is similar to Helmholtz Enterprise. AHEAD equips the team with suitable entrepreneurial tools and thus acts as a catalyst for the implementation of technology transfer.
Applications for the next batch in 2020 may be officially end to Fraunhofer on 20 March 2020. Technology Marketing is already accepting applications for participation in the programme. If you would like to apply for the Fraunhofer AHEAD programme or have any other questions, please contact us!
