Decisions we take today will shape the energy supplies of the future. That is exactly what we at the Institute of Networked Energy Systems are working on. Oldenburg is the ideal location for this kind of energy research. Join our team and help us to design the future of energy.
Together with the University of Oldenburg, the ForWind Center for Wind Energy Research and the OFFIS Institute for Information Technology, we have formed the ENERiO (Energy Research in Oldenburg) research consortium. Here, in a region in which we can work alongside over 50 organisations active in the energy sector as a member of the Oldenburg Energy Cluster (OLEC). Here, in northwestern Germany, where we already produce more electricity from renewables than we use. Here, at an institute belonging to the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where we can take full advantage of the synergetic effects available at the crossroads between other key DLR research focuses, including space, aeronautics, security, digitisation and transport. Here, in a growing university city with a population of just under 170,000 that many rank highly for its excellent quality of life.
