Project Description: The aim of the German energy transition is the transformation of the energy system towards a more climate-friendly system. Some indicators required for the monitoring of the energy system transition have so far been made available mainly within the framework of the energy balances and the AGEE-Stat. The macroeconomic indicators of the energy system transition, such as investments, effective domestic demand and employment, will be determined for the years 2018-2022 within the framework of this project and made available for the monitoring process of the energy system transition. Methodologically, the work will be closely oriented on the approach developed in the project "Macroeconomic effects and distribution issues of the energy system transformation". At the same time, this project plans to update the input-output vectors for renewable energy technologies in Germany.
The time series for the macroeconomic indicators of the energy supply from 2000 to 2017 as well as the description of the delimitation and method can be found here.
