This workshop focuses on the extended exchange of challenges experienced in the context of the modeling of freight surface-transport and on the development of new and innovative approaches to tackle these challenges. The workshop-character is of central importance to the event.
Based on the discussions and findings of the Freight Modelling Workshop of the University of Antwerp in 2012 (link to publication), the workshop will start with impulse contributions by Prof. Moshe Ben-Akiva, Prof. Eddy van de Voorde and Prof. Gerard de Jong, followed by an informal get-together on Thursday evening (link to detailed programme).
