Viktoriya Kolarova is working with the Institute of Transport Research since 2014 as a research associate and leader of projects on the topic of automated and connected driving. Her research activities include the analysis of acceptance and impact of new technologies on individuals and society with a focus on digitization and self-driving cars and the assessment and explanation of value of travel time changes. Her work includes analysis of individual travel behavior and mode choices using qualitative methods as well as stated preference approaches and advanced discrete choice modelling incorporating psychological determinants of decision making processes, and the deduction of practical implications. She is currently leading the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure’s funded project DiVA that is organizing a dialogue between the stakeholders of connected and autonomous driving. She is also working in the EU project AUTOPILOT.
