Since September 2014 Gernot Liedtke is head of the department on commercial transport at the DLR Institute of transport research, and in conjunction of a department at the Technical University of Berlin. He has extensive teaching experience in microeconomics, industrial organization, freight transport systems and network economics. His major research interests comprise multi agent simulation of commodity transport demand systems, spatial interaction models and infrastructure charging. In these areas, he published several articles in international scientific journals such as, for instance, in Transportation, Transportation Research, and Journal of Transport Economics and Policy. Gernot Liedtke was involved in more than 15 research projects.
