Gas turbine model combustor for flame measurements at atmospheric pressure
The experimental setup of a laser measurement typically comprises three components: The laser light source, the test device and the detection system.

Pulsed, some in single-mode operation, with frequency conversion and in combination with dye lasers or optical parametric oscillator
Flashlamp-pumped dye laser delivering 2 J/pulse at 10 Hz repetition rate, pulse duration 2 µs
Tunable excimer laser in the UV range
6-pulse Nd:YAG laser system for laser Raman scattering
Dual head Nd:YAG laser for particle image velocimetry
Diode-pumped solid state lasers with repetition rates >1 kHz
Combustion tes rigs
High pressure test rig for the study of fuel injection systems
Standard burners for turbulent jet diffusion flames and swirl flames
Burner for confined premixed jet flames
Test rig for ignition experiments in spray flames
Various calibration flames with well-defined temperature, species concentrations and soot distributions
