Team Leader: Christian Wollenschläger
The site in Augsburg has a comprehensive range of machinery and qualified skilled workers. In-house production is the cornerstone of greater sustainability and higher quality. From the development to the finished product, the complete value creation takes place in-house. The mastery of different process chains and technologies is a guarantee of success for the ZLP. Our Technical Center for Production Processes (TPP) supports the scientific staff in the implementation of projects and creates custom solutions in the fields of mechanics, electrics and mechatronics. Thanks to our own prototype manufacturing facilities, but also due to the short decision-making processes, the ZLP can act very flexibly between development and production and meet short-term requirements.
CNC manufacturing
Using CNC technologies we produce lathed and milled components. We are also an experienced partner for water jet cutting and design components made of plastic, aluminium and copper, as well as other common metals.
Electrical engineering
The department group TPP supports and advises the scientific staff in the research projects, which includes the selection, development and production of small components up to the realisation of research test benches. Our technical experts always keep the systems up to date with the latest industry standards and develop prototype and manufacturing systems taking into account the current standards and safety regulations.
Mechatronics
At the ZLP Augsburg, complete gripping systems and equipment for scientific research are developed. Based on many years of experience in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology, the TPP team is able to support the development of innovative production technologies in cooperation with the individual disciplines.
Testing
Our technical experts support the scientific research by constructing test rigs and conducting experiments. For this, we can draw on many years of expert knowledge in the field of lightweight production technology.
