Canada has been at the forefront of research and development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with some of the world's leading minds and inventors of AI technology. After decades of investment in research and development, Canada is focused on commercialising and supporting a new generation of SMEs with unique AI products and solutions.
A delegation of eleven leading Canadian AI solution providers visited the Center for Lightweight Production Technology (ZLP) in Augsburg on 24 January 2020, with the aim of establishing research and development partnerships in the area of Industry 4.0.
The deputy head of department Florian Krebs and the DLR scientist Marian Körber led the delegates through the various research cells of the ZLP Augsburg and introduced the different AI topics within the scope of aerospace automation that are being researched and developed in Augsburg.
Afterwards there was a joint exchange in which the possibilities for future cooperation were discussed.
