The DLR Institute of Lightweight Structures participates in the courses offered by the Institute of Mechanics and Adaptronics at the Technical University of Braunschweig, to which Prof Martin Wiedemann and Prof Christian Hühne belong. In addition, Prof. Hans Peter Monner, Head of the Adaptronics Department of the Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptronics, heads the Adaptronics Chair at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. In addition, several of the institute's employees work as professors and lecturers at various universities in Lower Saxony and Bremen.
