In the scope of the inter-institutional designed DLR-project NGT DLR-scientists research for an innovative, more efficient, safe and more economic high speed train.
Task of the DLR-institute Air Transport and Airport Research is to simulate and assess the different variants as to passenger flows and the required boarding and deboarding time. Typical change quotes of passengers travelling on long-distance routes are to be considered. Based on the outcome and under consideration of the technical parameters the best concept is to be identified. In particular, optimal door widths and door arrangements and their effects are studied.
