The new lava tunnel in the deep floor area
Using concrete and polystyrene, a structure was built that simulates a lava tunnel on the Moon. The deep floor area, which is three metres deep, has since been filled with regolith dust so the lava tunnel is now only 'visible' through instruments, such as radar.
