An aircraft will become a 'flying hydrogen laboratory'

On 20 June 2023, DLR and Deutsche Aircraft signed a contract at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget for the acquisition of a Dornier 328-100 Model 20. The contract includes the purchase of the aircraft and its gradual conversion into a research aircraft.

Rover on the home stretch to the martian moon Phobos

The origin of the martian moons Phobos and Deimos is still an unsolved mystery in planetary research. Both moons will be the targets of the Japanese Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission. A German-French rover will land on Phobos as part of the mission and conduct a mobile exploration – despite the extremely low gravity.

Radio telescopes seen from space

Radio telescopes look deep into space to explore the secrets of the Universe. Using the radio waves received by these telescopes, astronomers can study interstellar gases, the remnants of supernovae, the Sun and much more. They are also used in the search for potential radio signals from intelligent extraterrestrial beings.

The 54th Paris Air Show will take place at Le Bourget Airport from 19 to 25 June. In 2023, the leading representatives from the industry will again come together at Europe's largest industry gathering; the latest technological innovations will be on display here. The first four days are reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days for the general public.
