Locations and offices

With its institutes, facilities, clusters and offices, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) is represented at a large number of locations throughout Germany and abroad.

German Space Agency at DLR

The German Space Agency at DLR (formerly DLR Space Administration) acts as Germany’s space agency and, in this capacity, implements the Federal Government’s space strategy. The Agency coordinates German space activities at national and European levels and represents German space interests worldwide on behalf of the Federal Government.

DLR Projektträger

Competent management of policies, programmes and projects is needed to ensure that Germany can realise its full potential as a hub of innovative excellence – the speciality as the DLR Projektträger that provides an array of services to key decision-makers in government, science, industry and education.

Programme Management Agency for Aviation Research

This organisational unit supports the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in implementing the national civil aeronautics research programme of the German Federal Government as well as the states of Bavaria, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg and Lower Saxony, which supplement the federal programme with their own funding programmes.
