About Fabian Walker
Fabian Walker has been an online editor in the DLR communications department since 2012. Until 2007, he studied audiovisual media at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne with a focus on documentary film directing. He then worked as a freelance writer for the online editorial team of the WDR and later travelled a lot for film projects around the world. In these travels, he researched the price differences for everyday products in various locations, and hoped there was a networked platform in which one could enter product prices for users worldwide. Therefore, together with friends, he founded the website Eardex, a kind of Wiki for prices in all cities, regions and countries of the world, which is unfortunately offline due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Youtube and Vimeo: with special focus on moving images on the video channels of DLR. As an online editor at DLR, he is now to provide the public an insight into the world of aerospace, aviation, energy and transport. He is also responsible for other social media channels of the German Aerospace Center: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Flickr and Vine.
