In September, we held the “Mini-Symposium on Tool Support for Developing Highly-Parallel CFD Applications” at ParCFD in Bonn to gather developers and users of software tools assisting in the development of sophisticated, highly-parallel High-Performance Computing (HPC) software for CFD.
We had the pleasure to chair two sessions featuring seven contributions from the fields of HPC and CFD covering:
- Debugging
- Performance Analysis
- Continuous Performance Monitoring & Testing
- Installation processes for large-scale applications
- Management of HPC clusters and queuing
With that mini-symposium, DLR-SP provided a platform for experts of different fields and empowered discussion and knowledge transfer to achieve the overarching goal: raising reproducibility, automation, and documentation during the whole software-engineering life-cycle of CFD applications on HPC systems.
