The principle of individual accountability is of central importance to us. The division provides a baseline system, advises and supports all DLR-institutes and establishments, which, however, are individually responsible for the organization and assurance of their efficiency and product quality. We always comply with our customers’ needs while configuring QM-subsystems.
The DLR Executive Board appoints a Quality Management Representative (QMB) who is also head of our department. The respective heads of the institutes, establishments and the QMB jointly appoint the Quality Representative (QB) responsible for each institute/establishment. Their function is the configuration, maintenance as well as internal and external representation of the respective QM systems.
The Permanent Working Group of Quality Representatives is the forum for harmonization of our quality requirements within DLR. This working group supports the QMB and advises the Quality Board concerning matters of quality management. The Quality Board consists of 4 members of the Executive Board and QMB.
