DLR in your hands - the DLR App, now for iPhone
The DLR App not only allows you to organise news, videos, images and the DLR Twitter stream according to your preferences, but also gives you the option to share the content via E-Mail, Facebook or Twitter. Depending on the language settings of your device, the DLR App gives you the possibility of viewing the content in German or English. Its dynamic quality allows for the content to be updated constantly via the Internet. Although the DLR App does not provide all of the content found on the DLR's web portal, it is now available in a more user-friendly way on iOS devices.
The DLR App Version 1.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is availabe for download at the iTunes Store.

Why does DLR need an iOS App?
The answer is simple: it will be possible to reach up to 160 million potential users/readers.
A simple newsreader, that's all?
Version 1.0 is just the beginning. An update with enhanced functionality, which will also make use of specific iPad features, is currently being developed.
Why not a Web App?
As mentioned above, the updated version of the DLR App will require a native iOS App. An additional Web App will be provided as well. Please read below.
Will other mobile operating systems such as Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile or Blackberry be considered?
We are currently developing a Web App for these platforms based on the upcoming mobile version of www.DLR.de/en. It will be available by midyear. This Web App will, of course, also work on iOS devices.
