Jena Perseid Nights

The DLR_School_Lab Jena and the public observatory Urania Jena e.V. invite you to the "Jena Perseidennächte" - a series of events on the subject of meteors. It starts on August 12, 2023 with a family festival and observation night in Jena Forest. At this meeting of the generations, DLR offers a colorful program of activities for children of all ages with fun games and crafts, while the association presents its work, illuminates astronomy topics and opens the gates to the observatory in the forest. Just pack a small picnic and off you go! The following day, there will be a series of public lectures on meteors, observing them and astrophotography with simple means. For those who are particularly interested, there will be exciting workshops on meteor observation, meteorites and their geology in the DLR_School_Lab Jena in the last week of the vacation (places by pre-registration by email to schoollab_jena@dlr.de).
