WASP-43b: a hot Jupiter orbiting a K-Star
The smaller the distance between star and planet, the more tidal forces will deform the objects: planet and star are no longer spherical, but ellipsoids. In comparison to Mercury, the closest planet to our Sun, a semi-major axis of around 0.39 AU, WASP-43b orbits in a distance of 0.015 AU.
