DLR Platform for Research On Wind Energy (DLR PRO Wind)

PROWind

The project aims to provide the basic infrastructure for the DLR Research Wind Farm WiValdi, consisting of two scientifically instrumented research turbines, five meteorological measurement masts, and a freely configurable experimental turbine.

This includes securing and obtaining approval for a suitable research site in Lower Saxony, purchasing and erecting two wind turbines with a capacity of 4.26 MW each, manufacturing the necessary electrical and transportation infrastructure, as well as planning and constructing a control room.
