Die Rockband Pink Floyd hat ein Album nach ihr benannt: „The Dark Side of the Moon“. In Wirklichkeit hat der Erdtrabant gar keine dunkle Seite – im Laufe eines Monats wird die gesamte Oberfläche des Mondes von der Sonne beschienen.
