Our institute in Augsburg features an integrated robotic work cell - the so-called TPC - for the investigation of fibre-reinforced thermoplastic composite production technologies.
A diverse range of processes - from preforming to joining - can be investigated along the process chain using a temperature-resistant robot on a 7 m long linear axis. High-rate processes in combination with a hot press (4,400 kN press force / heating temperature up to 450°C) can also be demonstrated here.
