The German Aerospace Center (DLR), represented by the DLR Institute of Flight Guidance, is organizing the 5. Innovative Air Mobility Symposium (IAM) in cooperation with the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR). The event will take place on November 17–18, 2025, in Göttingen, and will bring together national and international experts from research, industry, and government to discuss current developments, challenges, and future perspectives in the field of innovative air mobility.

The IAM Symposium (formerly known as the UAM Symposium) has been established as a key platform for interdisciplinary exchange on tomorrow’s aviation technologies. IAM includes new air mobility concepts for transporting passengers and cargo in urban and regional use cases. The symposium’s focus is on topics such as autonomous and unmanned aerial systems, the use of artificial intelligence in aviation, urban air mobility concepts, airspace integration, as well as safety-related and regulatory issues. The aim is to foster dialogue between experts from science and practical application and to jointly develop solutions for sustainable future mobility.

The submission portal for presentations and posters is now open. All information regarding registration, the call for contribution, and the event program can be found on the official website: https://iamsym2025.dglr.de/
