Master Thesis: Experimental Assessment of Multiple-Scattering Effects on Coherent Radar Observations of Natural Media with Applications to Icy Moon Exploration
This thesis focuses on assessing the impact of multiple-scattering effects on radar backscatter and SAR interferometric measurements, with emphasis on snow, firn, and ice media. The assessment will be carried out through both EM field simulations by specialized software tools and laboratory experiments using DLR's bistatic measurement facility.
