We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our colleague, Federico Ghio, who received the 2025 Best Master's Thesis Award (1st Prize) from the Italy Chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing Society for his work, “Bayesian Deep Learning for Forest Height Estimation from TanDEM-X Single-Pass InSAR Data”.
In his master’s thesis, he develops a Bayesian deep learning approach to estimate forest height from interferometric TanDEM-X radar data while simultaneously quantifying prediction uncertainty.
