Congratulations to our colleagues Daniel Carcereri, Paola Rizzoli, Luca Dell’Amore, and José-Luis Bueso-Bello, who have been honored with the 2025 DLR Science Award. They received the award in recognition of their work, “Generation of country-scale canopy height maps over Gabon using deep learning and TanDEM-X InSAR data” (Remote Sensing of Environment, 311, 2024).
The DLR Science Award is presented annually to recognize outstanding scientific and technical achievements, particularly those of younger researchers. The work must be documented in a peer-reviewed journal publication.
The official award ceremony took place on June 23, 2026, as part of the DLR Annual Reception in Berlin.
