EUSAR Awards 2026

Colleagues from our Institute were honored with the following awards at the 16th European Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (EUSAR) in Baden-Baden:

The Best Poster Award went to Nertjana Ustalli et al. for their work entitled: “Experimental TerraSAR-X Ambiguous Acquisitions of 600-km Ground Swath with 3-m Spatial Resolution”. Authors: Nertjana Ustalli, Maxwell Nogueira Peixoto, Markus Bachmann, Ulrich Steinbrecher, Pau Prats-Iraola and Michelangelo Villano.

The First Place Student Paper Award was presented to Magnus Heimpel (ETH Zurich) coauthored by Irena Hajnsek and Othmar Frey for their work entitled: “Quality Coefficients for Interferometric Phase Linking”. Authors: Magnus Heimpel (ETH Zurich), Irena Hajnsek (ETH Zurich and DLR) and Othmar Frey (ETH Zurich and GAMMA Remote Sensing).

The Second Place Student Paper Award went to Alexandre Becker Campos et al. for their work entitled: “Snow Properties-Aware Deep Learning Framework for Centimeter-Level InSAR DEM Accuracy over Ice Sheets”. Authors: Alexandre Becker Campos, Antoine Diez-Latteur, Jose-Luis Bueso-Bello, Matthias Braun (FAU) and Paola Rizzoli.
