Twenty specialist institutes of the German Aerospace Centre are involved.
EXACT (Exploration of Electric Aircrafts Concepts and Technologies) is one of the largest and most comprehensive studies on the climate-friendly and economically efficient aviation of the future. Since 2020, twenty specialist institutes of the German Aerospace Centre (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V.) have been working together to develop digital designs for the most promising passenger aircraft of the future. Both the complete life cycle of the aircraft and the chain of production and use of renewable fuels are taken into account in the designs and their evaluation.
