Establishment of ZKU at DFD
Since spring 2026, the German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) has been setting up a new service, the "Center for Earth Observation based Information on Climate Adaptation and Environment" (ZKU).
At ZKU, remote sensing-based information products from the Earth Observation Center (EOC) are specifically prepared for practical applications and made available to authorities at the municipal, federal state, and national levels, as well as to other interested parties.
To this end, a central ZKU data portal will be set up in the coming months, providing easy access to data sets from across Germany. ZKU's product range is being continuously expanded and focuses in particular on EOC's long-term, comprehensive product lines.
