Research Group Technical Centre for Production Processes
The Augsburg site has a comprehensive range of machinery and qualified skilled workers. In-house production is the cornerstone of lasting, high quality. From development to the finished product, the entire value creation process takes place in-house. The mastery of various process chains and technologies is a guarantee of success for ZLP. Our Technical Centre for Production Processes (TPP) supports the scientific staff in the implementation of projects and creates special solutions in the fields of mechanics, electrics and mechatronics. Thanks to in-house production, but also due to the short decision-making paths
between development and production, the ZLP can act very flexibly and fulfil short-term requirements.
CNC production
We use CNC technologies to produce turned and milled components. We are also an excellent partner for water jet cutting and construct components from plastic, aluminium and copper as well as other common metals.
Electrical engineering
The TPP department group supports and advises the scientific staff in the research projects, which include the selection, development and production of small components through to the realisation of research test benches.
Our technical experts always keep the systems up to the latest and most up-to-date industry standards and develop prototype systems and gripping systems in accordance with current standards and safety regulations.
Mechatronics
ZLP Augsburg develops complete gripping systems and equipment for scientific research. Based on our many years of experience in mechatronics, mechanical engineering including electrical engineering and information technology, the TPP team can support the development of innovative production technologies in co-operation with the individual specialist disciplines.
Test realisation
The technical experts support the scientific research by by setting up test stands and carrying out experiments. They can draw on many years of expertise in the field of in the field of lightweight production technology.
