                Software Solutions

                Our institute develops a variety of software products that are widely used in the European aerospace and energy industries and serve as research platforms at numerous German and European universities and research centers. Below is a list of software products developed and utilized at our institute, organized by research focus. If you are interested in any of our products, please feel free to contact us directly.

                Aerodynamics

                Computational fluid dynamics helps design aircraft, ground vehicles, and wind turbines as efficiently as possible, saving fuel and reducing emissions. Our institute has developed a large number of internationally recognized and widely used computational fluid dynamics solvers.

                Aerothermodynamics

                For several decades, DLR has been developing computational fluid dynamics solvers that are used both in our own research and by the aerospace industry.

                Acoustics

                We use and develop numerous methods for the flow-acoustic optimisation of transport systems and wind turbines. A selection of our main numerical methods in computational fluid dynamics can be found here.
