Investigation of laser safety in the open space
At the laser laboratory with open beam path of the Institute of Technical Physics at the Lampoldshausen site, the necessary safety zones for the propagation of high-energy laser radiation are being researched under real environmental conditions. For this purpose, a detector inspired by the human eye was developed that measures the impact of the laser radiation in different positions relative to the beam propagation.
