Project description
The MoDa (Models and Data for Future Mobility Supporting Services) project will create the framework and basis of a data, modelling and service ecosystem that integrates data, models and services to create novel mobility solutions to support the mobility transition. The success of the previous DATAMOST project has shown that there is an additional need for research that directly addresses the transformation of mobility, focussing on the potential users. To this end, MoDa will develop innovative, customer-centred services. MoDa services will develop fast, accurate and most importantly relevant research knowledge to provide insights for key customers such as local governments, national government, stakeholders, businesses, new customers and the general public. This unique approach to scientific research creates the basis for DLR's expertise to be used more widely in society and enables an easy transition of services to start-ups. MoDa services will directly address the needs of users, as the project will specifically utilise stakeholder and potential user engagement. The services developed in MoDa will be tailored to the state of research with high demand and potential impact.
Project objectives
The aim of MoDa is to build a framework and an exemplary data, model and service ecosystem for the development of various digital services (supporting services) within DLR across programmes in cooperation with numerous DLR institutes and to validate this system with selected, exemplary services from various service groups with regard to its usability. Furthermore, initial services will be made available in this environment.
