The use of a Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) is being investigated to display symbolic information for the evaluation of flight characteristics in low-level flight on the DLR research helicopter ACT/FHS. The innovative technology enables the pilot to receive relevant data visually while maintaining control of the helicopter, which increases the safety and efficiency of the flight tests.
