The modular fixed-base flight simulator SEPHIR

The modular fixed-base flight simulator SEPHIR
SEPHIR is a modular fixed-base flight simulator and is part of the Department of Flight Mechanics, Flight Control, and Aeroelasticity. Its cockpit replicates that of a modern commercial aircraft. Together with project participants, TU Berlin has developed a real-time simulation model for the SEPHIR and AVES flight simulators. This model is used to verify and validate systems for load alleviation and flutter suppression in combination with a flight-path control system, as well as to study flight characteristics under increased structural flexibility.
