We are very pleased to announce that our colleague Dr.-Ing. Pau Prats-Iraola has been elevated to the grade of "IEEE Fellow" by the IEEE Board of Directors with the citation "for contributions to the multimodal processing of airborne and spaceborne synthetic aperture radar data", recognizing his achievements in this field. The ceremony took place on July 8, 2024, during the plenary session of the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) conference, held this year in Athens.
Pau has received his IEEE Fellow pin and certificate. Both serve as visible recognition of his elevation to the highest grade of membership in the IEEE. Recognizing the achievements of its members is an important part of the mission of the IEEE. Each year, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a selected group of recipients for one of IEEE’s most prestigious honors: the elevation to the grade of IEEE Fellow.
