TerraSAR-X: Dragon in the Reservoir
𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿
The world´s largest floating solar power plant commenced operations in 2021 and is situated on a reservoir in the vicinity of Dezhou, China. The TanDEM-X radar satellite captured this beautiful image of the plant in May 2024. The solar panels are arranged in such a way that a distinctive logo is formed around the central island from above, akin to a dragon winding its way around the island.
