With great pleasure we announce that Michael Pircher received the Young Engineer Prize (YEP) Award, sponsored by HENSOLDT, at the European Radar Conference (EuRAD) 2025 with his work entitled “Influence of Turbulences and Cross-Wind on the Signal Quality in Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar.” His work demonstrates that electronic beamsteering can improve the image quality in circular Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and is used as a reference in the design of future radar antennas.
