We are delighted to announce that our colleague Ricardo Simao Diniz Dal Molin Junior successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay, on April 15, 2026.
The title of his dissertation is "Development of Deep Learning Algorithms for Land Cover Classification and Monitoring with Multi-Temporal Earth Observation Data".
In his work, he introduces novel deep learning methods for classifying land cover and monitoring deforestation over the Amazon rainforest. These methods use multi-temporal InSAR (interferometric synthetic aperture radar) data from the Sentinel-1 mission.
