LanZET

LanZET is a technology designed to simplify and enhance the safety of container content analysis. Traditional methods typically require personnel to be directly working at the sea freight container, often necessitating the opening of at least one door panel. In contrast, LanZET enables remote-controlled or fully autonomous inspection with various sensing technologies inside the container.

Using a minimally invasive procedure, detection technology is introduced into the container. This allows for inspection of the container’s contents for various substances or items, such as explosives or chemicals, without leaving any visible trace of the inspection itself.

Fast and Residue-Free

LanZET was developed, among other applications, for the DLR MoSeRoS cable robot system (see QR code), but with slight modifications, it can also be mounted on other platforms such as forklifts, port cranes, or heavy-lift drones. Positioned roughly in front of the container, the system automatically docks with it and autonomously performs the specifed inspection.

The optimal analysis position for LanZET is determined automatically through a combination of image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms.

Equipable with versatile Sensors

The overall system is modular and can be configured to utilize specific sensor technology depending on the application scenario. For example, it can operate traditional optical systems like cameras, as well as more complex detectors for gases, chemical substances, or radioactive radiation. The sensor data can then be used to make well-informed decisions regarding subsequent steps.
