DLR_School_Lab Braunschweig

Aeronautics and transport research are the two main areas of focus at DLR’s Braunschweig site, where the DLR_School_Lab introduces its young visitors to its ongoing projects. Here, pupils can take on the role of an air traffic controller, test new driver assistance systems in the simulator, or even embark on a virtual flight to the International Space Station (ISS).

Experiments

What will the aircraft of tomorrow look like? With the use of a wind tunnel and augmented reality, pupils will learn about the methods being used to develop new types of aircraft. Exciting transport research topics are also demonstrated in hands-on experiments.
