For both, physical parameters such as buoyancy and flows play a key role, and both are significant branches of industry in Hamburg, where the University of Technology runs a joint schools laboratory with DLR. Wind tunnels, pools, test benches and measuring stands: DLR_School_Lab TU Hamburg introduces young people to the world of aeronautics and seafaring by sophisticated technology. In simulators visitors can fly a Cessna to explore Hamburg from above or steer a container ship through the port of Hamburg.
