Engine test for the OTRAG rocket

DLR Lampoldshausen tested the engines for Lutz Thilo Kayser's OTRAG rocket in 1972. The Lampoldshausen Institut für Raumfahrtantriebe (Institute of Space Propulsion) showed that the individual engines could be run at half power. The rocket was to be guided by throttling individual combustion chambers.
