	Studierende können wieder durchstarten 27. März 2023 Nach zwei Jahren ist es endlich soweit: Die Forschungsraketen REXUS 29 und 30 starten vom Raumfahrtzentrum Esrange bei Kiruna in Nordschweden. Ab dem 28. März 2023 öffnet sich das Startfenster, sofern die Wetterbedingungen mitspielen. Mit an Bord sind insgesamt neun Experimente von Universitätsteams.

Mai 2022 kehrte der deutsche ESA-Astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer nach 176 Tagen von seiner ISS-Mission zur Erde zurück. Der gebürtige Saarländer flog als vierter Deutscher am 10. November 2021 zur Internationalen Raumstation ISS.

	Student experiments on their way to the ISS 13 March 2023 On Wednesday, 15 March 2023 at 01:30 CET, the 27th Commercial Resupply Service mission lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Falcon 9 rocket is also carrying the four experiments of the Überflieger 2 competition of the German Space Agency at DLR and the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA).

	The first of a new generation of lunar 'astronauts' return to Cologne 9 March 2023 Following their historical journey around the Moon as part of NASA's Artemis I mission, the radiation-measuring mannequins, Helga and Zohar, are back in Cologne. On 9 March 2023, the two female astronaut phantoms were presented to the media by DLR.

	Water-rich asteroids came from far outside the asteroid belt 20 February 2023 New infrared measurements performed using a telescope on Hawaii have now led to the identification of a previously unknown class of asteroids. Researchers from the German Aerospace Center are part of an international team that was able to identify these planetesimals using infrared spectroscopy.

	Land surface has been displaced by up to six metres 14 February 2023 Satellite images have revealed how the land has shifted as a result of the severe earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. According to an analysis by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), this shift amounts to up to six metres in some places.

	The future of small satellite transfer orbits 10 February 2023 DLR is currently working with UARX Space to develop a specialised spacecraft that will transport multiple satellites to different desired orbits after separation from the launch vehicle. DLR is providing a radio platform called Generic Software Defined Radio (GSDR), which is used to communicate with the ground station.

	From Europe to Jupiter via Kourou 20 January 2023 This April one of the last Ariane 5 launch vehicles lifts off from Europe's Spaceport for the JUICE mission. The target of the European Space Agency's (ESA) largest planetary mission to date is Jupiter and its large icy moons Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer will study them up close from 2031 onwards.
