June 24 – 25, 2025

High-Performance Computing and Networking (HPCN) Workshop 2025

Scope and Objectives

High Performance Computing is a key enabler for the numerical simulation of aerodynamics and multidisciplinary simulation as well as optimization of aircraft, spacecraft and ground transportation vehicles including their components as well as wind energy turbines. The essential need of tailored HPC-systems in these areas requires a close cooperation of the application side with providers of these systems.

Last year the HPCN-Workshop took place in Göttingen, home of the CARO-Cluster. DLR, aerospace academia and industries presented their research and projects in the scope of the workshop, ranging from future topics with invited speakers like Exascale Computing to today’s large-scale HPC-applications in DLR focusing on performance and scalability aspects. Hard- and software providers of HPC-systems presented their latest developments.
