BWe mobil structural study - transformation through electromobility and prospects for digitalisation

The transformation of the mobility industry - driven by the trends of electrification, digitalisation and automation - is creating additional economic opportunities worldwide.

As one of the most important locations for the automotive industry in the world, there is uncertainty in Germany and especially in Baden-Württemberg as to how these changes will affect future value creation and employment.

The aim of this study is to present potential changes in Baden-Württemberg as an automotive centre and to derive challenges and opportunities for various social stakeholders. The focus of the scenario-based study is on electrified cars, their technology and components as well as the quantification of the effects of electrification on value creation and employment.
