Experiments in low-Earth orbit

Here, the experiment systems in the Columbus laboratory on the International Space Station are supported by the Microgravity User Support Centre (MUSC) as one of the links between the experiment systems in space and the scientists and engineers. The MUSC also qualifies space experiments for certification of their flight readiness, e.g. via parabolic flight campaigns.

Experiments on the ISS

Responsibility for payload and experiment-related mission planning, mission execution and data management is decentralised to scientific user centers in Europe. The MUSC is integrated into this scenario as the leading European user center.

Parabolic Flights

the MUSC, space experiments are qualified for their certification of flight readiness, their operation during flight is supported with the necessary infrastructure and post successful mission, data is publicised in European archives.
