By combining 3D modelling, integrated transport demand models and interactive user interfaces, mozu makes it possible to experience mobility environments not just visually, but with all the senses: from public transport stops to autonomous vehicles, even before they exist in reality.
Through dialogue with stakeholders and collaborative workshops, mozu provides a comprehensive picture not only of effectiveness and societal readiness.
mozu offers immersion on every level. Acoustic signals (traffic noise, public announcements), smells (exhaust fumes, freshly mown grass) and temperature-based effects (heat from vehicles, a cool breeze at bus stops) complement the visual representation. This sensory diversity makes it possible to experience stressors such as noise or air pollution first-hand and to assess their impact on the acceptance of transport solutions.
The facility is currently under construction and is expected to open in November 2026. It will be managed by the DLR Institute of Transport Research.
