On November 15, 2021, experts in the Early Warning Division of the German Federal Foreign Office (PREVIEW) visited DLR to discuss possible cooperation and joint projects on the topics of early crisis detection and crisis indicators.
During the meeting, the guests were given an overview of the previous and current research work of the "Geo Risks and Civil Security" department and in particular of the "Center for Satellite Based Crisis Information (ZKI)" in the use of remote sensing data for the crisis context. The joint discussions focused on the overlaps and collaborations in the field of humanitarian assistance and early crisis detection.
